From May the 14th the splendid rooms frescoed by Giambattista and Giandomenico Tiepolo in the Palazzina di Villa Valmarana ai Nani, in Vicenza, will host the exhibition Rifrazioni, a solo show by Brigitta Rossetti.
The initiative is curated by Arte Laguna Prize and will be supported by a critical text by Domenico de Chirico and will display six kaleidoscopic works on canvas by the artist.
As de Chirico wrote, "Rossetti's canvases can be considered as an eulogy of the trace, since this graceful conception of nature is present in every stroke, line, stain, shade, hint, smudge, fold, overlap and curve of his compositions”.
Arte Laguna Prize relates the works of Tiepolo with those of Rossetti, an open a dialogue between two eras, where the contemporary language of the artist from Piacenza penetrates, distorts, reflects and refracts the colours of the Venetian master.
Refraction is an optical phenomenon consisting in the deviation that light rays generally undergo when passing from two different media. The lights of spring and nature are refracted by the artist's eyes which presenting a new vision of the elements and colours that the earth offers us.
The exhibition is part of the events organised by the cultural association MoCA - Modern Contemporary Art, which in 2006 founded the Arte Laguna Prize, the world's most influential competition for artists and designers, of which Brigitta Rossetti is one of the finalists in the 14t/15 edition.
