    about

Angelica D’Alisera, born in 1999, is an Italian multidisciplinary artist who has lived in Rome, Paris, New York, and London, and who is currently based in Milan. Her work touches upon the theme of identity, which comprises solitude and isolation as well as sexuality and gender, in addition to the universal concept of time.

The relationship between body, space, and time is a recurrent element within her pieces as they often explore feelings of discomfort and dissatisfaction, to underline our ceaseless journey towards discovering the purpose behind our existence as individual human beings. These notions are manifested and exhibited through the use of different modes of expression, such as photography, video-making, fine arts, and graphic design.

The artist believes art is omnipresent and all-inclusive, and should drive people towards self-acceptance; towards a world that doesn’t see kindness as a weakness, a world that lacks misjudgment and the constant search of external validation, a world that sees the courage of vulnerability, that doesn’t fear solitude or isolation; a world that is persistently fighting and working towards a better version of itself.
